Bring Your Images to Life

This guide is for content creators who want to bring physical objects, images, or artwork to life using the Uncover Everything app. You'll use this creator portal to upload your images and attach AR content — once published, anyone with the app can scan your image and see the experience you've built.

How It Works

1. You upload an image target — a photo or printed image the app will recognize when scanned
2. You attach media to that image — a video, image, YouTube video, or link
3. You configure the overlay in the editor
4. You publish — and anyone with the Uncover Everything app can scan your image to see your content

Getting Access

1. Sign up with your email or sign in with Google
2. Verify your email address (we'll send you a link)
3. You'll land on your content dashboard — ready to create

Creating Your First Experience

Step 1 — Start an Upload

From your dashboard, click Upload. You'll see a form with two sections:

Image Target

• Upload the image you want to be scannable — the physical image (poster, flyer, artwork, book cover…) users will point their camera at
• Use a high-contrast, detailed image — plain or repetitive images are harder for the app to detect reliably
• Supported formats: JPG, PNG

Media / Content

• This is what appears when the image is scanned
• Upload a video, audio, or image file — or paste a YouTube URL
• Video tip: export with the standard BT.709 color profile (the default in most editors and phone cameras) to avoid color shift in the app

Step 2 — The Overlay Editor

• Resize the overlay — drag the corners or edges; matching the overlay to the image's proportions gives the best result
• Check the tracking quality stars — the editor rates your image live with hints for improving it; more stars means more reliable scanning
• Add buttons (up to 3) — tappable buttons on the AR experience that open a link of your choice

Step 3 — AR Reach

Option	What it means
Anywhere	Anyone with the app can scan this image from anywhere in the world. Currently limited and assigned by the Uncover Everything team — contact us to request it.
Specific Location	The experience only activates when the user is physically within your chosen radius of a set location.

For Specific Location: search an address, drop a pin on the map, or type coordinates — then set your scan radius (0.1–30 miles), the distance from the pin within which people can scan your image. A shaded circle previews exactly where it will work.

Step 4 — Save or Publish

• Save as Draft — saved but not live yet; come back anytime to refine it
• Save & Enable AR Tracking — your experience goes live immediately, and you can keep editing afterward with Save Changes

Tips for Best Results

• Use a rich, detailed image target. Logos with fine detail, illustrations, and photos work well — the editor's star rating tells you before you publish.
• Keep the printed image consistent. Heavy cropping, fading, or dramatic resizing makes scanning less reliable.
• Test before sharing. Download the app, scan your image after publishing, and verify it looks right before distributing materials.
